Message from the Principal

Dear Bulldog Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! As the proud Principal of Fremont Elementary, I want to extend a warm welcome to our returning families and those joining the Bulldog family for the first time. I am a firm believer that a student’s success is built on a strong, collaborative bridge between home and school. We value your partnership and look forward to working alongside you to support your child’s journey.
At Fremont, our vision is to empower every student to embody the spirit of the Fremont Bulldog. We aspire for our students to lead with Creativity, Collaboration, and Commitment. These core values drive our instructional goals and shape the way we support one another within our school community.
To bring this vision to life, we provide a specialized learning environment that integrates three key pillars:
- The Arts Pathway: We believe Creativity is essential for modern learning. Through our Arts integration, we encourage students to think outside the box and express their unique voices. We invite you to join us throughout the year to celebrate the artistic growth of our students during our site performances and galleries.
- AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination): Our commitment to Collaboration is best seen through our AVID strategies. We are working together to ensure every Bulldog develops the organizational and critical-thinking skills necessary for college and career readiness. By partnering with you, we can help our students set and achieve high academic goals.
- PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports): Our school-wide Commitment to a safe and nurturing environment remains a top priority. We are thrilled to continue our Gold Recognition for PBIS. This honor reflects our collective effort—staff, students, and families—to maintain high standards of being respectful, responsible, and safe.
Our goal is to ensure that every student feels a deep sense of belonging and is challenged to reach their full potential. We encourage you to stay involved, communicate often with our teachers, and participate in our many school events.
Together, as a united Bulldog community, we will make this a year of incredible growth and achievement.
With gratitude and Bulldog Pride,
Ivygail Henderson, Ed.S.
