- Be cautious when talking about the COVID -19 issues, it may either increase or decrease their anxieties.
- Talk to a trusted adult about your health and safety as well as your child’s.
- If children seem to be sick or have a fever, consult with your primary care doctor or nurse practitioner.
- Ensure students that schools are cautious when addressing COVID-19 disease.
- Wash hands often with warm soap and water for 20 seconds and wash between fingers.
- If you don’t have sanitizer use soap and water in a quirt bottle to clean hands when not at home
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Keep social distancing when our in public to be about a few feet away from others.
- Cover your cough or sneeze into your elbow or sleeve or tissue and throw away tissue.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Clean and disinfect objects such as door handles, kitchen knobs, and use cloth grocery bags to wash when returning from shopping.
- Keep your home clean and teach your children life skills on “How to Clean”.
- Make cleaning chores part of their reward to play video games or be on social media.
